"Nature and its workings, its seasons, its weather and its manifestations in the world around us, deeply affect the ways in which we all live. I am fascinated with the overlapping patterns found in nature and human kind. We create in response to our environment both internal and external, so it shouldn’t be a surprise to find organic influences in all cultural symbols and patterns. My art is a celebration of the inspiration, enlightenment and harmony that can be found simply by opening your eyes to your surroundings. Acrylic is my predominant medium; it allows me to create depth and texture within the many transparent layers. Looking into my paintings is very much like peering into a pool of water."
